Bloggy ideas

I'll just warn the 4 *edit* - 6 - people who apparently ever visited or read anything in this blog that these first few posts will be about this blog. That's right - updates, ideas, and stuff like that. And then something that a blog should actually have, like stuff about my life, stuck into it someplace. I'm not going to put too much until its perfect for putting stuff. Yeah.

But to you 6 people (thank you hit counter!), please suggest something in the comments to this post. I'll list a few that I've been thinking about, and if that was your idea, say so, or just comment on it. It's really just to get this up and started, and since I'm a perfectionist, I can't help but perfect the layout and everything before I actually post anything blogish (...what do you mean that's not a word? Of course it's a word.)

But here are some of my ideas:

• At the upper right, a Flash menu, containing all my Flash creations in categories. When a user selects one, the selected .swf appears on the screen in another box, above/below the blog posts. This box will also have a rating system.
• "Tell your friends! Send them this link..." advertising.
• New layout/theme (maybe change the blue/yellow/green backgrounds)
• A shoutbox
• A box with links to certain tagged items
  
• A forum

No, not all of this will be done. It'll just happen this blog somehow spasmodically becomes popular. Hopefully seeing a 12 year old program will be enough. O:

OMG OMG OMG! (OMG!!!!)
*after what felt like a hour of confusing HTML research and testing over a seriously stupidly easy thing...* Success at long last! Eh, I need to learn html. Well, now that I've figured that out, I'm going to spruce up the rest of the blog - yawn... oh, and there's a recycling bin animation at the right. Yes, I know it never fills up evn though there are like a hundred papers going into it - it all goes to show recycling conserves, while garbage cans take up space. And that I haven't the time to program it to fill up.

Friday, September 8th, 2006 - Usually, the first post of any blog is rather hilarious. The author gives a crappy definiton of what she thinks her blog will be about. And there is the unfulfilled promise of frequent updates. After the first one there are only few posts written and after that nothing. As if the author had killed herself, because she didn’t get the amount of traffic she fantasied about.This blog will be no exception. First post (this) will give a crappy definition and then there will be few posts and after that a quick death. The Internet will be polluted by yet another dead blog..."

Interesting. Now, I am out to prove that my blog will not be one of those! Expecially about the first post. Why? Because (1) my first post wasn't hilarious, (2) didn't promise frequent updates, (3) I didn't give a ____(censored) definition about what this blog will be about, (4) I haven't killed myself (5) my blog isn't polluting, (6) and my blog isn't dead (yet). No no no! - I already did all that underneath my header description! - wait, no, that's not what I meant! (oh yeah, and he spelled "definition" wrong).

Well, sheesh, do you think I followed his rubric for "how to make a stupid first blog post"?

Here is where all the official blog edit list will go. This way, I won't mess up "got dis blog started" post messed up with edits! Anything new will also go here - I don't want to post later on about new stuff, because readers really won't care about that. And then if they do, or want to complement/criticize/suggest new stuff, posts can be made here. Anyway:

Got dis blog started!

This is the first post in my first blog. Isn't that great?

Well, be sure to check this blog a few times a week or so. It'll be some time before I figure out all the fun stuff I can put on this blog, besides boring old texts and lists, so - yeah.

At this moment, as I am typing, I have one blog entry (this one), a list of fun websites, an almost empty blog Archive, and an About Me. So while I'm scurrying to add something to the About Me, and something relatively fun to the rest of the blog, you can look at the the fun websites for a while.
